Job description:

We are an established B2B apparel, accessories, and parts wholesaler seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager (or equivalent) to work within the Warehouse department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take control and ownership of day to day warehouse duties and responsibilities, such as picking, packing, dispatch, stock replenishment, and stock control
  • Plan, manage, and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements and customer priorities
  • Communicate to the team regarding daily tasks, changes to working procedures, H&S, Audit etc.
  • Ensure all colleagues follow Safe Working Practices and Health and Safety, investigating accidents and near miss incidents
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are consistently maintained
  • Carry out Racking Damage Inspections as indicated on the health and safety calendar
  • Carry out any other duties as directed by a member of the management team
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in tracking K.P.I.s
  • Cover the Warehouse Manager for annual leave

Current driving license and Bendi FLT license would be preferred

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Good interpersonal, leadership and motivational skills
  • Experience of handling low level employee relation issues
  • Good communicator – both verbal and written
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work under your own initiative
  • Good PC skills – Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing in-house IT team at one of the UK’s largest independent motorcycle clothing distributors. In a fast paced industry and environment, you will be responsible for making sure that the company’s systems and digital platforms are up to date, working correctly and compliant with current relevant Infosec standards.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be able to apply problem solving and logical thinking to real-world situations to find the optimum solution
  • understand modern business technologies including SEO, SQL, programming fundamentals and web development fundamentals
  • assist in troubleshooting and fault finding for both hardware and software
  • take initiative on tasks
  • be able to communicate effectively between colleagues, stakeholders and external entities in both written and verbal formats
  • have experience using and troubleshooting on major operating systems.
  • be proactive, self-motivated and a team player

A typical day may see the successful candidate performing the following:

  • troubleshooting and resolving user issues
  • auditing systems and users to ensure compliance with Information Security standards
  • updating key management documents and systems with up-to-date information
  • action tasks based on KPI’s and audits
  • collating and manipulating data for presentation to other departments
  • completing scheduled, routine tasks
  • system testing
  • triaging user requests
  • working on wider projects to advance business systems and interoperability
